Ultrasonic
Leak Detection |
Preventing
your Money to LEAK Out!!! |
| Maintaining
plant reliability and efficiency can no longer be accomplished
only by scheduled, time-based or |
| preventive
maintenance procedures. Real-time monitoring of vital components,
which allows a predictive |
| diagnostic
approach to quality control and to maintenance procedures, is
the solution to containing the ever- |
| growing
cost of component failures, production line breakdowns, and
the associated increase in labour. |
| |
| Many
industries are implementing quality assessment methods and maintenance
programs that are based on |
| the
actual condition of components and systems, as obtained from
on-site non-invasive testing and condition |
| monitoring.
Many failures and repairs that commonly occur in the industrial
setting can be prevented with |
| ultrasonic
technology, a highly effective non-destructive, predictive
maintenance method. |
| |
| What
Creates Ultrasound? |
| •
Friction - bearings, gears |
| •
Impact - valves, pumps |
| •
Turbulence - gas leaks, vacuum leaks
|
| •
Electrical - arcing, corona discharge
|
| |
| Engineers
have always used audible sound as part of the information gathering
process to diagnose the |
| operating condition of their machinery. They often use a screwdriver, electronic stethoscope, or even vibration |
| analysis.
The audible sounds generated by individual bearings or leaks
are difficult to differentiate in a noisy |
| environment where components operate within close proximity of one another. With ultrasound, differentiation
|
| is
possible. Additionally, ultrasound waves are detectable prior
to the audible waves, which helps provide early |
| diagnosis. |

Applications
Of Ultrasonic Leak Detection : |
| #
Detecting & Pinpointing exact location of Pressure Leaks (Compressed
Air, Gas etc.) & Vacuum Leaks in pipes, |
| vessels,
Reactors, Columns. |
| # Valve seat & stem leak detection
|
| # Exhaust system leaks
|
| # Tube leaks in Heat Exchanger, Boiler, Condensors
|
| # Steam Trap inspection
|
| # Electrical Inspection & detecting Arching, Corona & Tracking
|
| #
Gear Box |

| What
are the Advantages of Ultrasonic Technology? |
| •
Provides the earliest warning signs |
| •
Many problems are only detectable in the ultrasonic range. |
| •
Ultrasound is the first indicator of mechanical wear |
| •
Instantaneous |
| •
Audible noise is ignored, increasing the selectivity of the
ability to pinpoint. |
| Therefore, more accurate at pinpointing problems. |
| •
Isolation of faulty components, even internally is possible. |
| •
Non-Destructive - Does not adversely effect or interfere with the component under test. |
| •
Ultrasonic testing can be performed while the equipment is operating. |

Academy
for Conservation of Energy |
| Established in the primary year of the new millennium - the year 2001, Academy for Conservation of Energy is |
| one
of the top 10 BEE accredited energy auditing companies in India
and Class I Thermography Inspection |
| Agency
with 9 BEE certified auditors and 3 certified energy managers
in our team. |
| |
| We are authorized by PCRA, GEDA, MEDA, CREDA, EMC, NADCAP, MPUVN and SBI for conducting energy audits
|
| in
various states. We have our offices and infrastructure in Mumbai,
Indore, Agra, Thane, Jodhpur, Hyderabad, |
| Bhilwara,
Vapi, Goa, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kochi, Bharuch, Halol and Surat besides the Head quarters at Baroda. |
| |
| As
a synergetic value added activity to our main business of energy
audits, we also undertake implementation |
| of
energy saving schemes and help our clients detect abnormalities in utilities, electrical & thermal systems. |
| |
| We
conduct Professional Ultrasonic Testing. Our
role is to identify any ultrasonic anomalies in electrical,
|
| mechanical
and process equipments using a latest, high accuracy and high
precision, state of the art |
| UltraProbe,
which makes it easier to locate ultrasonic anomalies quickly even in a noisy environment, which are |
| otherwise very difficult and time consuming detect, document them and then place an identifying tag on the |
| faulty equipment so that you can repair these leaks as time and manpower allows. |
