Aspirations From Academic Institutions

  • Produce high quality students with enhanced job potential.
  • To survive in Fierce global Competitive environment.
  • Government expects Academic Institutions to be   Partially self sustaining
  • Industries are looking forward to academic Institution for R&D Support, latest know-how.

Current Scenario

  • There is a wide gap between quality of students produced by Academic Institutions and the quality expected by potential employers.
  • Baring few exceptions there is lack of relevance in the Academic Research.
  • Majority of Industries are not able to keep pace with the advancement in the Technology due to lack of focus on the R & D activities.

Current Attempts

Several attempts have been made by Academic Institutions / Industrial houses to bridge this gap between Academia and Industries. These attempts have been partially successful but as yet have not provided the desired results. This is mainly because each of the partners interacting in this kind of activities have their own goals to achieve / Targets to meet / tasks to be accomplished and hence are not able to give their 100% to the cause.

ACRE Relevance

Thus there is a need for some agency to act as a mediator between Academia and Industries which has certain Know-how of both the worlds and willing to take up Industrial problem solving as its sole professional activity.
Academy of Creativity and Excellence (ACRE) has decided to play the role of the desired Catalyst Institution.
